Reviewers should understand your costs/calculations. 10 Make your proposal easy to read. 10 Allow plenty of white space without fudging on margins/font size. Non- adherence to the application guidelines may be sufficient reason for reviewers to move your proposal to the growing stack of unfunded proposals. Always have others review the application before submitting. 9 Typographical errors/misspellings reflect poorly on your attention to detail and may cause reviewers to question your attention to study completion. 10 Finally, submit the grant before the deadline. Late proposals, likely, will not be reviewed. Funding agencies have other proposals from which to select where timeline adherence was maintained. Also, the risk of computer errors or difficulty uploading docu - ments may occur and cannot be fixed if the grant is submitted at the last minute. Now, await the review. If not funded, consider resubmitting. Integrate the constructive feedback received and address each point carefully. 4 Or, consider submitting to another funding agency that, based on your reviews, may be better matched to your pro - posed project. 8 If funded, celebrate and deliver what you promised. Inform the program/ funding officer about your visible evidence of their investment in you to facilitate future support. Most funders are interested in well-disseminated, completed projects that reflect their mission. Now, go out there and get the available money! References 1. Lane, J.
